About Rekise Marine
Rekise Marine is building autonomous ships and submarines that operate in the world's most hostile environments. We're executing India's flagship autonomous submarine project, the Jalkapi XLAUV, on order from the Indian Navy. This is an unmanned submarine weighing over 20 tons that can travel 5,000+ kilometers autonomously and operate in the ocean for 30+ days at a time.

The Role
As a Design Engineer at Rekise Marine, you will be instrumental in transforming engineering concepts into precise technical documentation. Working closely with our mechanical engineers, naval architects, and embedded systems teams, you will create detailed drawings and plans that drive the manufacturing and assembly of our autonomous underwater vehicles. Your work will directly enable the production of latest marine robotics systems
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret parts, assemblies and specifications provided by engineers and naval architects to create detailed technical drawings.
  • Develop accurate CAD models and2D drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and assembly details for marine systems and components.
  • Ensure compliance with defence industry standards, naval regulations, and project specifications.
  • Incorporate engineering changes and revisions to existing drawings while maintaining version control.
  • Maintain drawing revision control and proper engineering documentation. 
  • Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for mechanical components and assemblies. 
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy in drawing scales, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T annotations.
  • Conduct reviews of drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, embedded systems engineers, and production teams.
  • Coordinate with vendors for any drawing changes or clarification and also annotate drawings for CMM testing 
  • Maintain organized drawing files, BOMs, revision logs, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders for drawing approvals and sign-offs.
Required Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.
  • 8-15 years of experience in mechanical drafting, preferably in manufacturing, marine, or defence sectors.
  • Proficiency in NX
  • Strong understanding of mechanical components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in marine, shipbuilding, or defence industry.
  • Experience in QC of machined CNC parts and compliance with drawings
  • Familiarity with naval vessel drawings and marine engineering standards.
  • Experience with 3D modeling, rendering, and design validation.
  • Knowledge of BOM generation and PLM/PDM systems like Teamcenter (Preferred)..
